Pigeon Island National Landmark

Our flagship wedding venue is the Pigeon Island National Landmark – the perfect island outdoor wedding location!

This picturesque 44-acre heritage property, located on the gorgeous North West coast of Saint Lucia, is ideally suited for a truly memorable wedding.  

With a choice of cosy sandy beaches, wide open green spaces, a quaint gazebo surrounded by ponds and shady groves, photo-perfect 18th century military ruins, sparkling blue seas and dramatic vistas, Pigeon Island has it all.

There’s easy access to the Landmark via road and to all locations within the Landmark. Should you wish, you can also arrange to arrive at Pigeon Island by boat, alighting at our jetty. (Currently, our jetty is under repair and not open for use.)

Rental of our  venues for weddings and cocktail receptions are available from early morning through to starlit early evening with National Trust staff on hand to oversee the venue. Pigeon Island National Landmark is perfect for small, intimate ceremonies to medium sized celebrations of up to 150 guests. It’s no wonder Pigeon Island is a favourite of many of Saint Lucia’s best wedding planners and couples!

The Sandy Beach

This beautiful sandy beach is framed by coconut and tropical sea-almond trees and the azure blue Caribbean Sea. Perfect for couples with small wedding parties, seeking barefoot elegance or the tropical ‘island getaway’ experience.

Couples may book the beach for a late afternoon wedding – after 4:00 pm on weekdays, where you will have exclusive use of the beach for you and your wedding party.

Please note that the beaches are not available on prior to 4pm on weekdays and not at all on weekends or public holidays as we reserve them for public recreation.

Charming Gazebo

Nestled under shady trees alongside shallow ponds fringed by palms and in-season flowers, the Gazebo affords you stunning views with a backdrop of the beach and Caribbean Sea. Decorate the Gazebo in your personal style to create your perfect wedding atmosphere.

Old Jazz Lawn

Weddings at the Old Jazz Lawn nestled on the cliffside facing Martinique, are all about the amazing view. Your backdrop is the deep blue hues of the Caribbean Sea and Martinique Channel with frothy “white horses” of waves around the nearby Burgot Rocks. On clear days, your guests will be treated to views of the misty hills of the neighbouring island of Martinique.

Nestled among mature trees, this beautiful stone ruins with weathered wooden floors provides one of the Caribbean’s most unusual backdrops for your celebration. No wonder it’s one of the most sought after locations!

Side Lawn

A lovely open lawn area near the historic Officers’ Mess, now the HQ of the National Trust. This area and relatively flat with stunning views of Signal Peak, the main lawns, trees, Officer’s Kitchen ruins and Turtle Beach.

Captain's Cellar Lawn

Smaller flat open space You can enjoy your events with our beautiful green lawn, the clear blue sky and Signal Peak.

Officers' Kitchen Lawn

You can enjoy events while viewing the Martinique Channel. The area is also relatively flat for small to medium size events and is close to the Landmark  entrance and guest parking.
